Miko is currently teaching acting with the Actors Studio of Orange County in California. She is on the faculty as a certified teacher in Seven Pillars Acting Technique.
Miko offers individual hour-long virtual coaching sessions for children and adults clients.
She offers a blended technique that draws on her own foundational MFA training from the Bristol Old Vic in the English classical tradition while also combining techniques from Uta Hagen, Stanislavski, Meisner, Seven Pillars, and Commedia dell'arte and improvisation. Sessions are tailored to each actor's individual needs; audition prep, Shakespeare, conservatory, college and grad school audition and admissions coaching, monologues, sides, and finding appropriate material to match each client's specific casting. Miko incorporates elements of Linklater vocal technique, Laban movement, Alexander technique, and the knowledge she's amassed from years of experience as a former dancer into her coaching.
Miko founded Khan Arts Education in 2013 to offer acting and dance instruction to students of all ages from across the socioeconomic spectrum.
